Where the microgels go

Our own programme is a medical dressing for chronic wounds. The same microgels can also become a skin-care ingredient or entirely new formats, which we develop with partners.

Lead programme

Chronic wounds

Our first target is the diabetic foot ulcer. We are starting with early, less severe ulcers (Wagner grade 1–2), and excluding critical limb ischaemia and moderate-to-severe infection. These are the patients where a better dressing can make the most difference before an ulcer deepens.

The dressing is meant to be used like the ones clinics already apply, with the microgel layer against the wound. We plan to bring it to Switzerland and the EU first.

Dermo-cosmetics

Sensitive and reactive skin is a large dermo-cosmetic category. Formulated as an ingredient, our microgels could bring the same capture-and-release idea to everyday skin care.

We are working towards this with an established dermo-cosmetics company. Our role is the microgel technology; the partner would lead formulation, testing and launch.

Exploring

Oral care and beyond

Microgels can be dried into shelf-stable formats that become active again once hydrated. That makes them portable to places a wound dressing never goes.

Oral care is the first area we are looking at. We expect others wherever local inflammation or controlled release matters, and we would rather explore them with people who know those fields. If you see a fit, talk to us.

Licensing the platform

We develop our lead wound-care product ourselves and license the microgel platform for indications and formats outside that programme. If you work in wound care, dermatology, oral care or drug delivery and see a fit, we would like to hear from you.
